Morelli Gramigna Paglia e Fieno, 500g

Morelli’s Gramigna is a curly pasta shape from the Emilia-Romagna region. Paglia e fieno means ‘straw and hay’ - a reference to its green and gold colour. Morelli uses spinach powder as a nutritious natural colouring.

Gramigna has a porous, textured surface that holds sauces well. In Emilia-Romagna, it’s served with a creamy sausage sauce. You can also pair it with ragu alla Bolognese.

For a vegetarian meal, toss gramigna with porcini mushrooms fried in butter. Add a pinch of thyme and top with plenty of Parmesan.

Morelli pasta is bronze-drawn and dried slowly at low temperatures. This is the secret to the rough surface that helps sauces to cling.

Cooking time: 5 minutes.

Store in a cool and dry place, away from cereals.
